6th grade reading list and comprehension

Here is the reading list that I am going to have my 6th grader read this year.Ā  I will also have him read other books that are enjoyable, but these all have comprehension questions so I know that he is paying attention:)

Most of them are PDF from online resources, I chose which pages to print as I didn’t need all of the extras.Ā  Enjoy and be blessed!

  1. Thank you so much for these guides and all of the hard work you have obviously put into this website!! This saves so much time and effort and is so great to have everything all in one place! Blessings!

    1. Thank you so much for letting me know this. I have fixed and changed to a new link. Thanks so much for telling me.

  2. I just came across your blog and homeschooling materials. Thank you SO much for sharing all of this.

  3. I am already using a 6th grade curriculum for my daughter that I love at the moment, but this list is great and I’m wondering if you think it would be appropriate to use for her next year in 7th grade? These books are great, and to be honest, I didn’t read some of them until high school. Thanks so much for all your hard work, and making this available for others to benefit from. šŸ™‚

    1. Yes I have found that I can use most of the books I suggest at a grade up and a grade down:) Thanks for commenting.

  4. Is the reading comprehension included in the Sixth Grade complete curriculum book? I wanted to purchase the complete curriculum book for my daughter who will be in sixth grade this upcoming school year, but wanted to be sure that everything for Language Arts and Math are included. Thank you!

    1. It is not because it is not my work..these are outside links. You can download the answer keys to see exactly what you will receive..on my homeschooling menu page…scroll down to answer keys

  5. WoW, THANK YOU for putting all of this together to share! My youngest is in a LA program I bought and it’s taking FOREVER each day so I got online and googled to see if there was possibly a free program for me to use with her for a bit until I can buy another curriculum. (I’ve spent several hundred dollars already so far this year on our schooling.. ughhh) Finding your page was amazing! Blessings! šŸ™‚ Cassy

Thanks for all you do. I plan to use many of these resources! Is there a place to find answer keys for the question under reading comprehension?

  7. Thank you for all these wonderful homeschool resources! I was just wondering why I can’t get the links to open on “Prince Caspian” or “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe”??? Is that something on my end or is the link broken on the website? It just tries to load forever and never does anything. Thanks!

    1. It could be broken or unavailable ..it isn’t mine as it is an outside resource. you can google the name of the book and reading comprehension questions free..and you might find a new one:)
