5th grade reading and comprehension FREE curriculum

For my 5th grader this year, we will be doing lots of reading as she enjoys that.  I have chosen some books for her to read that I will require so many hours per day of read time.  I will then ask her questions or give her a handout to go with what she read.  I am including the download here as well as links to free downloads that I found on the internet to go with the stories.  Enjoy!

    Hi Amy,
I want to do your reading curriculum. My daughter is 12 and in 7th grade. I plan on using parts of your 5th and 6th grade curriculum. What do you do for your 7th graders on the reading? I have used some of your other subjects. I really appreciate all you do. You are a blessing.
    Thank you so much,
    Lisa

    1. You are welcome…as they get older..I just have them read…they can dictate to me what they have read for that day or week. Usually by this age, I figured they can comprehend and read a good book so I don’t do as much checking. IF you search a certain book title and chapter questions…you can usually find ones to ask. Hope this helps

    1. the reading comprehension is not from my site so I don’t sell it..just the individual classes:)

Just starting to try to organize curriculum for our first year of homeschooling. I have 1st, 5th, 7th, and 9th graders. It’s my understanding that I don’t have to select one curriculum but can piece together curriculum from multiple sources as long as I’m covering the required subjects, is that correct? Thank you for the help, encouragement, and resources!

  4. We were doing time4learning.com as our main curriculum but had to add your book it just went to fast or it wasnt enough for grade looking for a free social studies and science curriculum

I am unable to open the Stone Fox to get the curriculum for that book. When I click on the book title, it just goes to the Anne Arandel County Public School page. What should I do?

    1. I apologize, these are not my links so they can change:( do a search on google for that title and reading questions.pdf and see if there are more
