Thank you for this. I read it all during quiet time, as only one of my children napped. Forgiveness is such a complex issue, having many layers. You show this here. I am very good at walking away from hurt, I learned that it not as freeing as forgiveness. I never understood why I was so angry, still. I would say “but I left that behind so long ago… The body can walk away but the mind not so much. I like that you said it started with you and God. I don’t have a village, a community or even extended family so me and God will work just fine. Thanks again.
