  1. One thing we find great is powdered mushrooms. We buy mushrooms when they’re on sale and dehydrate them in our dehydrator. Then we grind them up into powder in the food processor. We shake it onto all kinds of foods: pizza, salad, mac & cheese, spaghetti, pretty much anything savory. It adds some more nutrition and flavor without any “bad stuff.” It’s a FANTASTIC thickener for soups, stews, and sauces. It doesn’t add carbs like potatoes, noodles, or rice do but it adds lots of great flavor.
