Summer homeschool and what we are doing

Hey everyone, we made it through another week.  Next week our lake is open and I look forward to taking the children as much as I can and enjoy these warm summer days.

One thing that I have been enjoying making and having each day are smoothies.  I was never big on these at all, but have since tried them and now I love them.  Super simple to make. I had bought some at the store, on sale and then realized that I could make them easily.   Click here for what we added.

I have decided that we are going to be doing some work this summer.  I think it will help to cut down on sibling squabbles, as well as keep their academic minds up:)

It is not a ton of work, but it will be something for us to do.  These workbooks take my children about a half hour each day to do and then I have them do some reading on their own.  We can accomplish this plus our chores each morning and then that frees us up to go swim at the lake all day long:)

You can watch the video here on my new summer cleaning routine before the kids wake up and then also I show my books and how we are going to do them.

Here are the links to all of my summer books that we will be doing this year.  Enjoy and have a blessed weekend!

    1. I don’t have a 6th grade book. My sixth grader is doing the 5th grade just to remember her basic skills. Look it over on the homeschool menu page under the answer keys and see if it would work for you:) If not, I do have free downloads for 6th grade subjects, you could pick out what you wanted to do and not do for the summer.

  1. Hi there! Is there any way you could post some pictures of what the inside pages of the summer skill books look like? I checked on Amazon, but they don’t have any. Thanks!

    1. I sure can! Scroll down on my homeschool menu page……to the bottom it has the answer keys for the books. You can see exactly what is inside of them:)
