sandwich spread

I freeze our leftover chicken and ham from meals.  I like to puree some and put into pint containers.

To make sandwich spread that you would buy at the market, you do the following:

In bowl add:

  • 1 pint pureed chicken
  • 1 pint pureed ham
  • either couple Tablespoons of relish or 4-5 pickles diced up small
  • miracle whip–however much you want
  • salt, pepper, green onion, or minced onions

Mix all of the above in bowl.  Add enough miracle whip to make it spreadable.  Serve on bread or crackers.

  1. Looks great! This is my go to for using up leftover ham. I add a spoonful of a stone ground style mustard to mine. I usually serve it with crackers and sliced swiss cheese. It is wonderful.

I saw on of your videos that had you making sandwich spread with bologna? But I can’t find it on your YouTube or blog? Could you share with me what you do with you bologna (ham and?) Meat spread please?
    Thank you so much!!!

    1. I sure will. Basically place in food processor to chop up your lunchmeat. You can use bologna, ham, chicken, or turkey. Personally I like the chicken lunchmeat. I grew up eating the bologna and will eat that too. Or we mix bologna and chicken. Then mix in some miracle whip and relish. Enough to make a spread like tuna fish. It is so good. I hope you like it.

my grandpa made something similar to this and it’s so good he also made a sandwhich spread with Bologna which was also so good but he called it dog meat when I told my husband about it he made this face telling me he’s not eating it. but he did and he loved it. Bologna pamento’s and mild shreddred cheese with Mircle Whip.

  4. Our Giant Eagle grocery store in Pennsylvania made sandwich spread in their deli that used the ends of their lunch meat loaves. This sounds very similar. I miss it since moving to California. None of our stores make anything like it. I will have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing! I love your meal prep videos! I am just starting to blog and my prego brain has held me up. Watching your videos has helped get me back in the groove. I feel inspired!

you can also save drained pickle juice and if you don’t have relish or pickles a few drops of juice is a good substitute. Love your recipes Miss Amy.
