Take a can of pinto beans, I have used dry beans that I made and then froze, but I found they were not as smooth as the canned kind.
Add some salt and minced onions.
Puree in your food processor until smooth.
Cheap, refried beans and much better for you than store bought kind.


Hi Amy! Love your videos and blogs. I have a huge bag of dry pinto beans that we wanted to try our own refried beans. Do you have an easy crockpot or stove top recipe for that?
I just cook them in the crockpot until done and then puree them in the food processor. We make them very simple:)
