homemade guacamola

Take your avocado, peel and remove center nut. We use 4-6 for our recipes. Place all good “green” parts into your food processor.  We basically use our hands and smoosh the avocado away from the inner nut.

IMG_20140727_111357Add a couple of squirts of lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, cumin, and cayenne pepper.  Chop up 1 whole small onion, 1 large tomato and 2 cloves garlic.IMG_20140727_111545Puree in your food processor until smooth.  This is delicious when served with your Mexican feast.

    Does the homemade guacamole have to have salt, cumin, onion,tomato,garlic and cayenne pepper?

    Just asking because…
    I have made it with sweet chile sauce,avocado and lemon juice many times.

    I haven’t tried it yet, but a friend tells me I can rinse my avocado with some lemon or lime juice and freeze them. That would be a game changer for me as I love anything avocado. Have you heard this? Thank you so much for everything you bring to all of us!!!!! God bless you and your family…
