If you are a homeschooling mom you are probably like me, where you might skip over a few things over the years and then by the time your child enters middle school you wonder if you taught them everything they are supposed to know.
For myself, we teach at different levels for each child. What one grasps easily another may struggle. We glide over things that are difficult and fly through the easier things. I have found most math textbooks are way too repetitive and pointless. I know, but that is just me. After teaching my older ones, I realize what really needs to stick and what you just “need to know.” That is why I revamp and write my own.
This elementary Math curriculum covers everything required from 1st grade up to 5th grade. It is repetitive in the “important” things and teaches the “less important” things.
I will be having my 5th grader do this as well as my 2nd and 3rd grader. The 2nd and 3rd grader will work at a slower pace but my 5th grader will work at a faster level.
Use it for the 5th grader who needs a good review or use it as a challenge for our younger grades. Use it for a couple of years, since it covers up through 5th grade.
If you need a rough estimate of where each grade level begins and ends—as you know you review every grade level as you get older, but here is the breakdown:
1st grade goes up through page 30;Â 2nd grade ends on page 80;Â 3rd ends on 120;Â 4th ends around 140;Â and the rest is 5th and lots of review.
Again this is a FREE printable PDF file. Print it off and give your child 1-2 pages each day of school. They will learn much and it won’t cost you more than paper and ink.
Enjoy and be blessed.

Thank you so much for all you do. This is a true blessing.
Pingback: When You REALLY Have No Money for Homeschool Curriculum
Wow! Thank you so much for this!!!!
Your welcome:)
Thanks SO much for these worksheets! I’ve tried tons of curriculum but it hasn’t worked out. This is just what I needed. 🙂
I am happy that they will be of use for you:)
You have been such a blessing to our family! I’ve been homeschooling for 8 years and have tried sooooooooo many different curriculums for English and math…. and I didn’t like any of them! So much time and money wasted! Once I found your site I immediately switched over. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! We use The Weaver curriculum for everything else and love the one-Room-schoolhouse style for all the other subjects, and your math and English fit in so perfectly with what we are already doing. I pray that God blesses you and your family many times over for the work you’ve done! I wish I could hug your neck! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I am so glad that you have been able to use them. That was my whole thought when I decided to make them. A big waste:) I hope your day is going well and YES He does bless me HUGELY!!
We are so very grateful for the time you put into designing this curriculum and the generosity and kindness of your heart to publish it freely. I have a 17 year old special needs daughter and didn’t know where to begin on math this year. She always seemed stuck around the 3rd/4th grade level. This is the first curriculum to really click with her. We started the remedial math in the beginning of the year and have worked our way through. The simplicity of the format has helped her to maintain her focus. Other curriculums contain many illustrations and instructions and I believe that the additional information which is helpful to some children may overwhelm special needs children. Anyway, she was able to make a lot of progress this year and feels successful when she does her lessons and I just wanted to thank you for the tools you provided that made it possible! You have blessed us! Thank you very much!
This blessed me thank you! It is just a simple format and I am glad that it worked for her. That makes me smile. I appreciate you letting me know this. Have a wonderful day
Hello Amy,
Hope you and your family are well. I have a niece who is struggling in school. They have her in a IEP program here in Canada. Although the program is setup well it lacks the summer stretch. My niece struggles with confidence. Her reading is grade 3-4, her math is around the same and yet she is going to grade 7 in September. Here in Canada they continue to move forward your child even if they have not completed the cursory and basics of the grade. They feel failing a child is more damaging then completing the grade. I’m not a fan of this. I feel she’s falling behind even further and first person to say “it’s ok you can quit when you’re 15 she will be counting down the days. Her parents and I do not want this. They work full time, so i am taking this on myself. My question is after all that is, should I download grade 1-6 and take the best parts or download the 1-5 math and 1-5 English? Or do you have any suggestions? I’m not homeschooling her during September-June. However, she is in my care before and after school and I feel I can maybe bridge the gaps. Advice needed please.
On another not love your vlogs and all the videos on the food prep. We have done this on a smaller scale but frozen meals ready to go are amazing. Some of the recipes you have are fun too. Tell the kids they are great. A testament to your teachings. Have a great day and thanks for these free Printable. It doesn’t matter if its the US standard its all the same when its reviewing a grade, I think.
Amy i love you vlogs!!! (not love) like it says above. Sorry did not review before pushing post.
Have a great BLESSED DAY!!!
Kimberly
I thank you!
I thank you for your kind words. I would download the remedial classes. I have from grades 1-5 and then go through them. Everything is a review:) THen you can do the 6th grade after she feels confident:) all on my homeschool page…..we did this for a good review of all the grades:)
I’m wondering if I could print out this remedial math and use it as a stand alone math curriculum, or is it more just for review? (Advanced 2nd grader)
Yes you could:)
Thank you so much in all you do! be blessed always.
You are an absolute God send…ty SO much for all the time and effort you have put in these awesome resources … many blessings to you and your family
You are most welcome!
Sweet Amy! Me again. I want to ask if you think this would be a good use of this course for the different grade levels: If I print the pages you have recommended for each grade (ex. 1-30 for my first grader, pages 31-80 for my second grader, etc.) and have the child do a 5th page of math (or two) each week on fridays until he pages run out. This after all, would last us 30 or more weeks each year and provide a 5th day of math each week as review. Do you think this would be a good idea?
you could do it that way…or let your older ones do the beginning part as well..for review…or i started out doing it with all my kids..and then the younger ones…had less work to do each day and we found other real life activities to do instead. Hope that helps.
Are the remedial books available for purchase on amazon?
they are not…..it isn’t something I did as a complete curriculum more of catch up and make sure they know things:)
Should I do one of these pages and a page from their grade curriculm you have per day? I have a 6th grader and a 2nd grader this year. Like the review of it. Just wondering how best to use it. I love you curriculms by the way!
Yes we did one page per day:) EAsy and simple and fill in where needed:)
