Hi, I have been using this for my niece and in January she will be finished with it since it is only about 122 days if you do math everyday of the school week which she does. Just curious what you do when your kiddos finish this or if you plan on doing a grade 4. thanks a bunch!
For our family, we do school four days per week. This allows us to do field trips or extra things during the school week. When they are finished at the end, whatever they have struggled with the most, I will do a couple of extra problems each day. I know my 5th grader is struggling with long division (who doesn’t struggle with long division?!?!?!) So I will probably give her a couple of long division and a couple of long multiplication problems each day. If she gets them all correct, she will be free for the day, if not, I will give her a few more. This packet is all that they are required for testing. Myself, won’t go on, because we aren’t in a hurry. Have you done the XtraMath.org website? They do math facts. It is free, sign up. Your child can practice these each day when she is finished. It is something they will have to learn eventually, you could do it then. Without being overloaded by math:) Hope this helps.
I was wondering if you have done a 4th grade. I am using the 3rd grade right now. Thank you so much for that.
I have not yet. I am sorry. I will next year when my child is in that grade.
Hi, thank you so much for sharing your hard work with others! People like you make homeschooling so much more doable for everyone!
I know I’m late to the party here, and grade standards have changed, but I’m considering using some of your curriculum. I was looking over the 3rd grade math workbook with my upcoming 3rd grader. We looked at the test-formatted section at the bottom.
I noticed that the first question on page 112 has no correct answer. The correct answer should be 15+7. I get that typos happen, and that’s not a big deal, but in this case I’m concerned as to whether the entire concept is being taught incorrectly. I have yet to find where that lesson is taught in the workbook. Can you point me to the page? Thanks!
hello…thank you thank you thank you.. I have had someone go through and edit my books that I sell on amazon because they cost and I was able to pay them. I have not done it for the free courses but my goal is to soon go through all of them too. These are more set up for you the teacher to show your child how to do them. I don’t do step by step teaching as it isn’t a textbook more of a math page and then work on the concept and if they don’t understand, go through and do some more. I hope that helps.
hi there,
I have problem downloading the 2nd grade and 3rd grade but i can download the 1st grade. please help. Thank you
Hello, when you click to download , you will have to click it again. Sorry it was the way I uploaded it to my site. Let me know if you still have issues .
I have no idea why it out my post under this comment. Oops. Sorry for the tangent. 😛
Hi I think there is a problem on p.86. The division problems for 1s and 2s seem to be backwards. 2 divided by 20 instead of 20 divided by 2, etc.
Thank you so much for putting this together! My kiddos are thriving on it!
OOPS!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I will be fixing that–I am happy you are able to use it–even with my typos:) Be blessed!
This is very kind of you to provide this for free. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome, it is my pleasure to be able to share:)
Is this done on computer and sent in to the website ? If not how do you get credit that your child is in doing the work ?
No you download and do the math papers yourself:) No turn in to me.
Hello!!! First of all u can’t believe i just discovered you and I am beyond ecstatic!!! I truly appreciate what you have done. I do want to know if your math curriculum is common core based??_ thank you
I am happy you have discovered me:) It is not common core just plain and simple schooling. The kind you and I had—I assume you are over the age of schooling:)
I was wondering do I turn his work in so he gets credit for this or is it not that kind program ?
No, these are just free math pages that will work for a basic skills help:)
Hi Amy,
I just wanted to thank you for sharing all of these homeschooling resources. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Being closer to the beginning of my homeschooling career, I have always wanted to do more of a “create my own” curriculum rather than paying money for one. I have always been a bit timid to spend money on curriculum for fear of being dissatisfied, and wasting money.
I’ve basically been flying by the seat of my pants, specially creating lessons as I go, yet not setting myself up for the next child. As I’ve gotten farther along in schooling (with more students), I have yearned for the relief of having pages for the coming weeks ready to go.
You have filled this need perfectly! Thank you so much for sharing your motherly wisdom and labors.
Thank you,
Emily
I thank you for taking the time to write this to me. I appreciate the feedback and glad it has helped you:) This was my intention to share as someone else had done before when I needed it:)
Hello,
Is this updated? I am going to use it now for my 3rd grade. You think she could possibly done with it by May for her evaluation.
Yes 🙂
Thanks so much Amy, you are a life saver. I’m going to use all of your curriculum for all 4 children. But really 3 because my 3 year old doing preschool work now. I’m going to use it for 1st grade, and going to use the 4th grade curriculum for my soon to be 3rd grader and soon to be 4th grader together. You think that’s a good idea to teach both of them as the same level?
I have found it is easier. I would do all in one school and just let the one that excels and does learn faster..go on ahead and then help the one that doesn’t catch on as quick. works best
Okay thanks so much for your great response. I add workbooks on my Amazon account shopping cart. But I was wondering if all of the individual works you have the site are all in the Workbooks. For example I see you have math, English, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar. Are all of these included in workbooks?
Yes they are…you can download the answer keys on my homeschooling page and then you can see what is exactly in each book..I added a few extra pages to make it a complete year but the majority is the same:)
Thank you so much for this! We have been enjoying it a lot!
I did find a little error on p. 24. It says the long hand is the hour hand and the short hand is the minute hand.
I appreciate this..I wrote these many many years ago but unfortunately after editing them myself I have missed a bunch of things:) I need to go through them again and fix all the errors so that they can be accurate…seems days are very full now and I hope to do this soon:)
I so appreciate you and your hard work! We have used your workbooks going on 3 years now with 4 kids at 4 different levels! I’m happy to see you have added up until 9th!!!
Just really quick, are these pages different than in the workbook for 3rd or just arranged differently?
Thank you!
the same..workbooks contain a bit more days so it can make a complete year..but free will get the job done:)
I love your curriculum! I use it for my first grader and my third grader. They like doing it as well. Thank you for taking time to do this for other families. It really means a lot!
I am glad that you are able to use it…simple and easy:) makes life so much better. Have a wonderful day!
HI,
First time homeschooler and i was wondering if these comes with answer keys? not sure ho would teach some of the subjects, LOL
These don’t individually…you can go through them with your child and explain the process. I have them in book form and that has the answers in them…but it includes all the courses—3 of them so you would have to skim through the pages to get your answers…and a quick google if you needed some extra help teaching. Hope that helps…sorry
Thank you for posting this! My youngest child struggles with “too much” on the page and rejected every other curriculum I used with my other children. I appreciate you creating a simple year of printables all in one place. I look forward to our fresh start and a new school year next week. Somehow God and google led me to your website at the last minute. I am going to make a daily “packet” for my son rather than a big book to ease his stressors. Thank you very much.
You are very welcome. That is what we do as well. As he needs more help with something…just do a few extra problems until he understands it. Have a wonderful day.
Correction:
3rd grade math page 24. The exercise teaches reading clocks. The error is in which hand tells hours and which minutes. The description has it reversed.
I appreciate you….it is only me doing this… thank you
I just found your site while researching free ways to homeschool. Is there a parents guide to the pdf with correct answers for grading and teaching how to get right answers?
nice to meet you. I don’t have individual answer keys for them..as they are basic but I do offer them in the complete book form with all the courses…on the same page.
Love this! So glad I found your site. Printing the math curriculum and home economics now. Kudos. This is really great.
It would be helpful to have the pages numbered. It would be helpful to have a table of content for what’s covered, so the parent could pick what their child needs to work on the most. Please give instructions on how to do the problems. Not everyone’s good at math to teach it. Other than that, I think it’s a great resource for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money on a math curriculum.
You are truly a God send. You have no idea how much these free resource help someone who simply can not afford homeschool materials. Especially those with large families trying to buy for multiple kids. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I was in the same situation many times and I remember the kindness of others giving free materials away to me when I needed it most. I told God I would do the same if I ever could do something like that…that is where this was created from and we still use them!
Do you have an answer key for each grade level?
Not for individual courses..I do for the complete grade level on the same page…scroll down to answer keys for the grades
