homemade basic granola


Easy homemade basic granola:

  • 5 cups oatmeal
  • 5 c wheat germ
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans chopped
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp maple flavor

Mix all dry ingredients and then mix honey, oil, and maple.  Add to dry ingredients and mix well.  Place on jelly roll style cookie sheets and bake 250 until toasted.  I did mine overnight and woke up to a yummy smell in the morning.

    How long would you say that you usually toast the granola? Thank you!

    • it depends upon the heat…if I do closer to 300 and watch it about 2 hours….lower temps will be closer to 3 hours.
