This was a great appetizer/meal that we made for our Christmas day munchies. I could easily see this as a dinner meal. It was super easy, despite looking complicated and it tasted wonderful.
- 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 lb cooked hamburger seasoned with 1 pkg taco seasoning
- your choice of toppings: lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, green onions, olives, etc.
Separate the crescent pastry and lay out in a circle, pointed ends out on a foil lined pizza pan, sprayed very lightly with cooking spray. It will look like a pointed sunshine. Overlap the inner circle edges a bit to help keep the meat into place.
Spoon out your meat mixture on the inner fat part of your crescent ring. Place even amounts all the way around your ring. Then carefully take your “points” and bring them up to your inner part of your ring to wrap around the meat. I actually brought them up on a slight angle to help cover the meat better. Tuck in on the inside.
Place in 350 oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and then add all of your taco ingredients into the center of your ring.
A great appetizer to make for parties.
