I love lists!! I like to write everything that I have to do down. I used to have to worry about losing my lists. It was a bad thing when someone took Mommys’ slip of paper off of the counter. Then my head would be at a loss of what to do. So I switched to a notebook. I would write my lists out and then after looking at them being all scratched off and messy, I would find myself rewriting those lists with the things I didn’t scratch off so that I could have a nice neat piece of paper. I got tired of wasting time rewriting my lists. Plus I was wasting much paper. So I decided to go paperless.
I saw somewhere on the internet where people were making dry erase boards out of a picture frame, and I thought that was cute. But I wanted to go a step further and make it like my notebook. For Christmas I made my daughter a really cute weekly organizer out of a picture frame. You can see that here. After since realizing how useful hers was, I decided to make one for myself.
I bought a picture frame, scrapbook paper, and some sticker letters. I placed topics that I would normally write on my paper lists with stickers on my scrapbook paper. Those topics included:
- Office—things to do on my office day
- blog—things I wanted to write about or remember to do on my blog
- store—things I ran out of, or needed to get at the store
- baking–things I wanted to make that week
- reminders—things I needed to remember short term
- children–things I wanted to remember for the children to do
I love it, I have been using it since the beginning of this year and have not at all went back to my paper list. When I am finished, I just swipe it off with my finger:) Paperless, another way to simplify your life:)
