This was one of our favorite foods that we made over the holidays. I have never made a cheese ball before in my life. We always bought them and they were just okay tasting, this one was the greatest tasting cheese ball we have ever had.
Super easy to make and kept very well during the holidays. We found the recipe on pinterest but tweaked it a bit and came up with what we liked. Here is what we did:
- 1-8 oz pkg reduced fat cream cheese
- 1-8 oz block of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 bag of bacon bits
- chopped green onion, about 2 stalks finely chopped
- peppercorns and carrot
Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onion, and bacon with a mixer until well combined. Shape into 3 snowman sized balls. Coat the balls with parmesan cheese and place on serving plate. Decorate with carrot piece for the nose and some peppercorns for the facial features. Serve with crackers and meat.
