caramel frosting for cinnamon rolls

I have my recipe for cinnamon rolls that we make on my blog here. I used to make them and sell them at our local tailgate market. I just never posted the frosting.  Not sure why I didn’t get around to it, but I finally did:) This caramel frosting is very easy to make and I would suggest making it when you are ready to frost your cinnamon rolls as it gets harden quickly.

Melt together over low heat and boil 2 minutes stirring constantly: 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar.

Add 1/4 cup milk and heat just until boiling again. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Then use a whisk and mix in 2 cups powdered sugar.  I like to add some maple flavoring at this point.

Pour over top of cinnamon rolls.
