New BOOKS available…..summer review of Basic Skills grades 1-3

Hey everyone, I am ready to share what I have been working on lately.

I don’t know about you, but I know in my home , summer comes and my children turn into tablet zoned, tv mesmerized, and video game glued children.  Then by the time school rolls around in the fall, it seems that those math facts were soon forgotten, and who ever remembers how to cursive write?!?!!?!?  I decided to fix that for my children and possibly yours.

I came up with a simple review of the previous school year that takes less than an hour each day.  My goal was to focus on math, grammar, reading, and writing.  In the younger grades especially much repetition on writing letters properly in print and cursive.  In math, we work on a lot of facts, addition and multiplication. There is also much practice reading words from Dolch lists and words every grade level should know.   I also filled in with some fun games to help them remember what it is they learned.

By doing this, you can ensure that your children are not going to have to digress when the following school year rolls around.  The pages are quick and fun so that it isn’t “boring” school work:)

Each grade level has enough pages to do 65 days of review for the summer months.  It is not huge school work, it is a REVIEW.  It will occupy your children for an hour, give them some academic learning, and maybe some leverage on your part—-“You can play your tablet, when you finish your schooling.”  🙂

This is what my children will be doing each morning come summer.

You can download the answer keys in PDF form to see what is included on each page.  Go to my homeschooling page and scroll down to the ANSWER KEYS section and you can click.

If you are interested you can click on the image to go to Amazon to purchase a copy.  All grades are $12 for over 200 pages of schooling.

Ok, back to the grind.  I will continue working on the other books as well as making videos for my youttube channel.   Go check it out  in case you haven’t already:)  Remember to smile with those babies and “big” babies today:)  Be blessed!

Large family management series part 4 Wednesday is my favorite….Baking day

Hey everyone, hope your morning is great!  I am continuing with my series…Large family management.  I have had Wednesday as my baking day since forever.  I still do the majority of my baking and any big food prep on this day.    Why would I do this?  Imagine if I made brownies my husband wanted on Tuesday, and then rice krispy treats on Wednesday for church, and then a dessert pie for the weekend.  Oh wait and then some bread for our meals…hmmm I would be spending an awful lot of time in the kitchen.  Watch and see why I choose my Wednesday to make all my desserts and snacks for the week.
