apple oatmeal crumb muffins

Crumb topping:
2 T sugar
2 T brown sugar
1 /2 c flour
½ tsp cinnamon
1/3 c old fashioned oatmeal
¼ c unsalted butter, melted

Preheat oven 350. Line a muffin pan with 8 paper liners. In a medium bowl, combine dry crumb toppings. Pour butter over to of dry ingredients and stir together to create pea size crumbs.
Batter
2 T unsalted butter softened
¼ c sugar
2 T brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
¾ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Pinch cloves
1/8 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 c flour
1/3 c plain yogurt
1 c apples peeled and chopped

In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla and egg. Mix in salt, spices, and baking powder. Then add ½ the flour, the yogurt and the remaining flour. Stir in apple chunks by hand.  Divide into muffin tins. Top with crumb topping. Bake for 18 minutes or until done. Let cool for 2 minutes then put on rack to cool.

Glaze
¼ c powdered sugar
4 tsp water
Whisk frosting together and drizzle on top. Store in airtight container.
