Stop climbing your mountain…..dissolve it!!!

I was skimming through my bible this morning and came across a verse that the Lord had given to me some time ago:

For as the rain and snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth:
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10

This verse has really spoken to me a lot lately.  I have been really diving into the Word of God so much more lately than ever before in my life.  It is kind of like when you do something and you keep getting positive returns on it, so you want to keep doing it more and more.  It works with God the same way–smile.

Then with everything it seems you are moving on this path and it goes so well and then  BAM! you are hit with a mountain of opposition. Our first reaction is to stop dead in our  tracks.  For myself, when I see something big and huge, my first instinct is that I want to be afraid, mad, complain, and even doubt God about what I “thought” He said.  I go back and forth in my brain about what I should and shouldn’t do.  I question things.  I listen to negative people.  I don’t do the first thing God asks of me.

But that is NOT what God has called us to do. God’s word promises that we are to be mountain movers not climbers.     It took me a long time to get out of that mentality.  I would try and walk up my mountains, only to fall back down those steep sides.  Sometimes I would walk around them and keep walking and walking and seem to never get to the other side.  Once I realized that I don’t need to climb those mountains, I just need to dissolve them with the Word and knowledge of God then those mountains were removed.

When you start taking man’s advice of things that are contrary to the Word of God and that you are just to put up with it, take your lot in life, and just be happy because you are further off then most people.  That is all a bunch of baloney.  God did not give us His word so that we could face mountains everyday and not be able to move them.  He wants us to thrive in His word, to be blessed by all that He has for us.

When things start going badly in your life, stop looking at the mountain and questioning what it is you are going to do to get up that mountain. Start speaking the Word of God and proclaiming it’s truths and let that mountain be moved out of your life.

God’s word in Isaiah 55:10 promises that just as the rain falls and waters the earth and makes it grow and bring good things to us, God’s word does the same thing.  It will come down, cleanse you, and make you grow so that goodness can come from you.  He promises that His word shall NOT return empty and that it WILL accomplish and succeed in the things which He sends.

Whatever God has shown you, stop doubting things.  Continue in His word daily, keep seeking Him, and he shall move that mountain and let you continue on your path.

Be blessed.
