Mostaccioli is a great meal to make when you have a large gathering, or when  you have to take a hospitality meal.  It is a staple that pretty much everyone will eat.  Around here we are always a large gathering so we make this meal quite frequently.

What we do is boil water and cook 2 boxes of penne pasta.

While that is boiling we start our sauce for the noodles.   We have our Maryon special spaghetti sauce recipe that is our base.  To that base I add a few extra cans of diced tomatoes and a jar of store bought sauce.  Yes it adds some color and quite a bit of flavor.  It makes it creamier and gives it a nice hearty taste.

To serve I sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and leave in the oven to stay warm until serving time.
