I make this on summer days when I want to spend my time at the lake.
I used 1/2 bag of meatballs and placed them in the bottom of the crockpot.
I then added the following:
- tomato sauce–I used a large ten pound can about 1/2 of it
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 T of basil and oregano
- 2 T garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
I then stir and taste it. If it needs to be sweeter, add more sugar. If it needs more flavor add more salt. This is easy and there are no “clumps” of tomatoes for picky eaters:)
