Rhubarb, is something new to me but I thought I would give it a try this year in some new jam recipes. My neighbor who is a huge blessing to my family is a green thumb, something I am not. One day I hope to be but not now. She grows everything and is willing to always share. She gave me some rhubarb to try out this year.
I washed it and cut the ends off. The leaves are poisonous so be sure to cut those off in the garden area and discard. I then chopped it into pieces. I put into a gallon freezer bag and froze. This was probably one of the easiest fruits to prepare for freezing. Now I am waiting for some raspberries so we can try out our new jam recipe.
