black bean dip

  • 2 cups drained black beans
  • 4 tsp tomato paste
  • 3 T water
  • 2 tsp minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped with scissors
  • 2 T mild green chilies–from a can

Place all in a food processor and puree until smooth.

Serve with tortilla chips.
